VERONA, Va. (WHSV) -- The non-profit Project GROWS farm in Verona is gearing up for spring.
The project is now looking for members who would pay for a share of fresh veggies each week.
Farm manager Sam Berenstain said the money pays for the project's work with local boys and girls clubs.
"Fresh food tastes much better, straight from the vine or from the leaf. They also get exercise, and on Thursdays we let them come out and do a work/potluck activity, and they come out and get to get their hands dirty," said Berenstain.
Members will get a share of veggies for 18 weeks.
