HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV)-- You have the chance on June 30, to learn more about the Harrisonburg Streetscape Project at a public meeting.
Phase two of the project includes improvements along the west side of Main Street from Bruce Street to Court Square in downtown Harrisonburg.
The project will include sidewalk improvements, curb ramps, and new landscaping.
Although many are excited about the enhancements, others worry about whether construction will be disruptive.
"We probably have to be dodging certain sidewalks or areas. If there's construction going on for that whole year, I'm guessing, then that would be a little bit disheartening," said Kevin Sabo, who lives in Harrisonburg.
Phase two is estimated to cost $1.1 million.
The public meeting will be held at the Massanutten Regional Library. The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. on June 30, and presentations start at 6 p.m.
