HARRISONBURG, VA -- The deadline to register to vote in the governor's race is now history.
Voters in Virginia had until Tuesday October 15 to register.
More than 18,000 people in the city of Harrisonburg have registered to vote.
Some of those registered include college students who are allowed to vote even though they are not from the area.
"I'm from out of state. I'm from Wisconsin and it's really nice to have another opportunity to vote. I believe it's your civic duty as a student to vote or as a citizen as a whole and I really like that I get a different perspective out here," said Jacob Blerch who is a student at James Madison University. He is registered to vote in Virginia's Gubernatorial election.
Below is the latest break down, detailing the amount of registered voters across various precincts in the city of Harrisonburg.
So far, the largest amount of registered voters are located at the East Central precinct.
