Rockingham County Man Passes Away After Crash

UPDATE: 3/15/2014 2 p.m.: Virginia State Police say 44-year-old Michael Scott Dove of Fulks Run passed away at 2:22 a.m. Saturday morning following a motorcycle crash.

Rockingham County, VA -- UPDATE: 3/15/2014 2 p.m.: Virginia State Police say 44-year-old Michael Scott Dove of Fulks Run passed away at 2:22 a.m. Saturday morning following a motorcycle crash.

Dove was flown to UVA Medical Center Friday afternoon.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.


A Rockingham County man has been flown to UVA Medical Center following a motorcycle crash.

Virginia State Police say the crash happened around 5:25 p.m. on Criders Road about one and a half miles south of Rt. 820.

Forty-four-year-old Michael Scott Dove of Fulks run was heading north on Criders Road on his 2000 Harley-Davidson. When he began to cross a curved bridge, police say he crossed the center line, ran off the road, and hit a guard rail. The cause of that crash is still under investigation.
