ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va. (WHSV)-- It happened back in May, the victim, Robert Atkinson, said he was driving through Coopers Mountain Road when a car stopped in front of him. Someone got out of the car, and stabbed Atkinson.

Atkinson said the person mentioned something about being a snitch before driving off.

The week before the incident, his son, Logan, said he received a voice message saying "your father is going to die".Logan said it was odd because he and his father rarely talk to each other.

Police are hoping phone records can give them information on who left the message.
