Bradley Burkholder will never forget seeing Mitt Romney from a distance.

"It's a moment to remember," he said.

He is at the Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport getting a closer look at his candidate.

" I was hoping to see him talk. I didn't get that opportunity. But just to see him come off the plane is worthwhile," he said.

But this is not the first time he has tried to meet him.

He tried at Thursday's rally in Fishersville but couldn't.

"Just before we was going on the exit, they blocked off and said we can't let you in is getting too full," Burkholder said.

He said right then he thought he never would.

"I was disappointed but i made up for it," he said.

Romney is briefly stopping in the valley to continue his campaign around Virginia.

Burkholder said he is surprised to see him back so soon.

"I guess it seems like a strange thing, he's coming here so many times. But it actually might be a good thing. Harrisonburg went democratic last year and to be campaigning in the area could help it vote Republican," he said.

Lisa Wright who had a layover at SHD said visiting this area, shows Romney cares.

"I think it's wonderful that he has taken the time to come to the small city, instead of all the big cities where people are trying to get all the votes," he said.

Burkholder said he feels lucky.

"Only a few other people and myself got to see him up close," Burkholder said.

Romney will be at the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington on Monday. He will give a speech on foreign policy.
