Rooftop Burglary at the Factory Antique Mall

VERONA - The Augusta County Sheriff's Office is looking for two suspects who broke into the Factory Antique Mall. The burglary took place sometime overnight on Sunday July 20, 2014.

When deputies arrived they discovered that at least two suspects had burglarized the mall by entering through a roof top air conditioner. Once the air conditioner unit was broken, one of the suspects crawled down the ducting leading to the interior of the establishment. Once access was gained, the theives attacked display cases. Vendors are still tabulating the losses, but coins, money and precious metals and jewelry were the prime items targeted and taken during the burglary.

The suspects apparently exited via the roof and the burglary was not discovered until noon on Sunday when staff came in to open up for the day.

Anyone with information reguarding this commercial burglary are requested to contact Sgt. Brian Jenkins with the Augusta County Sheriff's Office at (540) 245-5333 or Central Shenadoah Crime Stoppers at 1-800-322-2017
