SAW Coalition: "Bath Salts Flying under the Radar"

Updated: Tue 6:56 PM, Sep 11, 2012

AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va -- Keri Jones is the program coordinator of the SAW Coalition, which is a group that tries to prevent young people from trying drugs. She said members of the group started a new subcommittee to just focus on the synthetic drug problem in the area.

Jones said just because you do not always hear about it, does not mean people are not using these drugs.

"The community, I believe, sort of thinks bath salts have been taken care of. When in fact, they're just flying under the radar and still harming people and still taking lives," said Jones.

You can find out more on keeping your kids safe from bath salts at the meeting Tuesday night. It is at the Craigsville Community Center at 6:30 p.m.
