SRI Celebrates Seventh Anniversary In the Valley

HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) Thursday, SRI International celebrated their seventh anniversary in the Valley. Leaders from across the the region joined in for the occasion, including the Mayor of Harrisonburg and Senator Tim Kaine.

"If you look at the economic development impact, which is part of the reason we're here, from the standpoint of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley folks, we're probably creating anywhere from 150 to 300 jobs in the region, based on our research," said Walter Moos who is the Vice President of the Bio Science Division at SRI International.

SRI is currently working on a new curriculum to help children learn. In addition to creating new drugs to address diseases not treatable by antibiotics.
