ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WCAV)-- Santiago's family and supporters aren't giving up hope. The Albemarle County womans went missing in July of this year. She was last seen at a property near Carter Mountain Orchard.

After her disappearance, deputies searched the orchard in Charlottesville. Now, more than a month later, she hasn't been found.

On Aug. 30, family and advocates for missing persons held an awareness event called "Beep for Bonnie" as they held up signs encouraging people to get the word out and to beep their horns in hope that it will bring her home.

"A flyer campaign, social media and then today we have the honk, and that's just everybody driving by and beeping for Bonnie," said Shawn White, who works at the Cue Center for Missing Persons.

The family of Bonnie Santiago said they have been in contact with investigators and have hopes for another search party soon.
