WAYNESBORO -- Some middle school students will see some changes in the classroom. Next year, they will be swapping textbooks for tablets in science and civic classes.

The school board approved a $200,000 technology upgrade. The schools will provide tablets for 8th grade classrooms. One hundred tablets will go to teachers for now.

The plan is that in 2015, 7th and 8th graders will get to keep the tablets and by 2016 all middle school students will get one.
