ROCKINGHAM COUNTRY, Va. (WHSV) -- Are your students being challenged enough in school?

One valley parent says Rockingham County Public Schools could be doing more to challenge straight-A students.

We checked with the school's site. They've actually got a challenge program in place, but for some students that might not be enough.

"Students who don't have to study as hard who are better students. Sometimes they could be offered a little bit more challenging classes. They're still prepared well I think," shared parent, Rebecca Jessie.

On its website, the district says they've got special programs for gifted students in Kindergarten through 12th grade to meet those needs.
