The Staunton Downtown Development Association is hoping to get more people to donate to save a pedestrian bridge, by creating a short movie about it.

The film from a local production company is meant to show the importance of the bridge, by showing a couple that can't get together, because the bridge has been removed.

The bridge was closed in January 2010 for safety reasons.

Downtown Development is trying to raise $200,000 to get it restored.

The group also has several events planned next month to raise money.
