Virginia State Police is investigating a crash between an Amtrak train and a car that killed a Shenandoah man. It happened Friday night in Fauquier County.
Troopers say 54-year-old James Wood was driving his car across the railroad track into the path of the train. That train couldn't stop in time and it slammed into the car. No one else was injured.
The crossing only has a sign up with no arms nor flashing lights.
