Shenandoah May See Increase in Bills

SHENANDOAH, Va. (WHSV) -- People in the town of Shenandoah may be facing an increase in water and sewer fees.

Town council members have proposed a $2 increase for both services, every month, after fixing sewer and water problems in the town.

Gerald Rinaca, who lives in Shenandoah, said he understands the need higher fees.

"Well everything else is going up, might as well go along with it. I don't like to see them go up, but if that's what they have to do then we'll just have to live with it," said Rinaca.

The increase isn't official yet as the town council will discuss it at their next meeting on March 25 at 7 p.m.
