AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) -- UPDATE (6:22 p.m.) Robert S. McCormick has returned home safely on his own.
The Augusta County Sheriff's Office is investigating a case involving a missing and possibly endangered man, Robert S. McCormick.

McCormick, 45, was last seen at his residence Wednesday morning at 7 a.m.

He is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs approximately 185 lbs and has brown hair and brown eyes.

McCormick is reported to be driving a green 2007 Toyota pickup truck that is missing its tailgate. The tag on the truck is Virginia KDS-9789.

It is reported that he is despondent and possibly intends to harm himself.

Anyone with information in regard to McCormick’s whereabouts are requested to contact the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office at (540) 245-5333
