One Man Dies in Single-Car Crash

UPDATE:

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va. -- The driver of the car involved in this crash has died.

Matthew Seal, 33, McGaheysville, died on the way to the hospital.

Air care was on standby during the accident, but Seal's injuries were so severe, he was taken to Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

The cause of the crash will not be determined until the medical examiner releases his findings.

Three people were taken to the hospital following a car crash Monday night.

One person was flown to the University of Virginia Medical Center. The others were taken to Rockingham Memorial Hospital.

According to the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office, a car flipped over on Stephen Conrad Road just after 11 p.m.

Deputies said speed and alcohol are possible factors.

The Sheriff's Office and Virginia State Police responded to the crash.

The crash is still under investigation.
