Slain Virginia Tech Student's Necklace Still Missing

Police say a distinctive necklace worn by a slain Virginia Tech student the night she disappeared is missing.

Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corinne Geller told The Roanoke times that the Swarvoski crystal necklace wasn't found with Morgan Harrington's remains.

The 20-year-old Roanoke woman disappeared in October 2009 after leaving a concert at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Her remains were found in January 2010 in a hayfield in Albemarle County.

Geller says a state police investigator has been checking with pawn shops and flea markets to see if the missing necklace has turned up.
