Small Plane Crash at Louisa County Airport

LOUISA COUNTY, Va. Virginia State Police are investigating a plane crash at Louisa County Airport early this morning.

Shortly after 11:00 a.m, a 1929 Fleet Fix Wing plane was trying to land when the brakes malfunctioned, causing the plane to run off the runway and hit and embankment just before it overturned.

Luckily the pilot, Bryon Stewart of Warrenton, and 17 year old passenger from Station were not injured. The plane was part of an airshow at the airport.
