STUARTS DRAFT, Va. (WHSV)-- The soccer prom was a 90-minute soccer match held at Stuart's Draft High School.
Players compete wearing soccer attire and prom sashes. The game had a 50-50 raffle, concessions, halftime contest and more.
Between the two teams, players have raised over $8,000 so far. The Boys and Girls Club of Staunton, Augusta County, and Waynesboro hosted the fundraiser, with over 20 members coming out to compete.
"It's gonna be pretty intense, especially being in so tight-fitting clothes on some people. I'm probably gonna have to loosen some cuffs. I've seen on some people like in tuxes and everything. I can't imagine playing in a dress let alone in a tux, so good for the girls," said Wil Morrison, the program leader of the Boys and Girls club.
The proceeds from admission, concessions and donations will benefit the Boys and Girls club.
