HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) -- While most people are warm and cozy celebrating the holidays at home, some are hard at work making sure people have a place to eat at on Christmas day.
Kristen Barringer works at Jess' Quick Lunch and for as long as she can remember they've been open on Christmas.
She said families have been coming to Jess' Lunch as a tradition for decades as it gets really busy because people come into town just for their hot dogs.
She also said working the holiday and sacrificing a little family time is worth it.
"The girls at work, they get really excited. They know they make a lot of money and its good to see people with their families having a good time, celebrating a tradition because it really is a tradition," said Barringer.
Last year they closed for the first time ever, but Barringer said people were so upset it wasn't even a question this year.
