The American Red Cross is closing the two cooling centers in Shenandoah County for the day. The cooling center at Woodstock Fire Department closed at 4 p.m. The cooling center at New Market Fire Department will close at for 6 p.m. Shenandoah County Emergency Management will evaluate the need for cooling centers again on Sunday. If there is a need for them again, the county will work with coordinating agencies to make them available to residents. Widespread power outages continue throughout Shenandoah County.
