NORFOLK, Va. (AP) -- The Virginia Zoo's squirrel monkey family has a new member.

A squirrel monkey named Madonna gave birth either late Friday night or early Saturday morning. The new baby was discovered Saturday morning by zookeepers clinging to her back.

Executive director Greg Bockheim says it's the 19th squirrel monkey born at the zoo in Norfolk since 1967.

Other members of the zoo's squirrel monkey family are the baby's father, Jeebes, and four other squirrel monkeys. Two of the monkeys are set to be transferred to other zoos within the next few weeks.
