Harrisonburg, Va. (WHSV) -- Startup Weekend in the Valley is here. It will go on until Sunday night at James Madison University. Friday night it was all about getting to know each other.

The entrepreneurs come from as far as Kentucky to share ideas and get to know one another.

A game of rock, paper, scissors got everyone in the room warmed up, for the ideas that came flowing following it.

"Anyone can get up and present their ideas to the group and then they lobby to try and get people to join their team and say, hey let's work on this together this weekend. They spend all day Saturday, most of the day Sunday, talking to customers building a product," said Nick Such, who is a Facilitator with Startup Weekend in the Shenandoah Valley," said Nick Such, who is a Facilitator with Startup Weekend in the Valley.

The final day of the event will feature presentations that are free and open to the public.
