HARRISONBURG -- State Senators Steve Landes and Mark Obenshain met with supporters on Friday at Wood Grill Buffet.

Senator Landes spoke about the transportation and education reforms. Expanding Medicaid was also on his list of topics. He would rather see current money spread around more efficiently.

Senator Obenshain talked about how he was proud to have passed a bill requiring voters to show their photo ID.

“Every time a fraudulent vote is cast, it undermines and dilutes the vote of every legal voter out there. We need to protect the integrity of our system,” he said.

The new voter ID law will go into effect in July of 2014.
