State Police Searching for Runaway Speeder


ROCKINGHAM COUNTY -- Virginia State Police are trying to find the driver of a motorcycle who sped away from troopers while they were trying to pull him over.

The incident started around 12:15 A.M. on Saturday morning in New Market.

According to police reports, the driver of the motorcycle was driving around 110 miles per hour.

Once police started pursuing the driver, the suspect drove even faster.

He got off at exit 240 on Interstate 81 but crashed his bike on Oakwood Drive in Rockingham County.

Police found the motorcycle but the driver was nowhere to be seen when they showed up.

Right now, investigators are trying to find Emmanuel Gonzalez-Martinez.

Police say he is the owner of the motorcycle. It's unknown right now if he was driving it on Saturday morning.

Officers say they have been looking for him to try and get some information regarding the incident.
