The Staunton Music Festival brought in 50 first class singers and musicians from across the country. The musicians came from as far away as Europe.

They will be performing 18 concerts over 9 days. The concerts are held at different locations across the Queen City.

Jason Stell is the executive director of the music festival, and he described what makes this year's festival special.

“One of the biggest things we have going on this year is a whole lot of new music and new percussion pieces,” said Stell. “You can see behind me, probably, the big set up we've been using. It was a logistical planning to get all this stuff together here.”

There will be two concerts every day until next Saturday. The concerts start at noon each day and they are free and open to the public.
