Stock the Shed Finds Success

PAGE COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) -- WHSV and Page One's Stock the Shed food drive is over and already food from the drive is being put to use.

The staff at Page One and at WHSV are overwhelmed with the good neighbors throughout the Valley.

Maxine Ponn, a Page One volunteer, spent Monday day organizing some of the food that was received from the drive. It's now being stacked throughout the building.

Page One is waiting for its new storage shed to be delivered so everything can be organized properly.

Ponn said they still aren't quite sure how much food they have received in the food drive, but they are overwhelmed.

"Today we had 40 clients for food and I'm thankful we were able to give to them what we have. At the end of the day, I am really pleased with what went on. I think its just wonderful," said Ponn. "We got a lot in four days on the floor of that building. I was really pleased with it. The people here do the best they can and I really appreciate it."
