HARRISONBURG (WHSV) -- A Valley college student is working to bring sweet treats from around the world to Harrisonburg.

Connor Bell learned how to make Belgian waffles when he was abroad with a biking team. Now he uses his talents to make the sweet snack and earn a little extra money on the side this summer. He's studying to be an engineer at James Madison University.

"I tried one and had a couple and really liked it. I thought I had never really seen that in America, and I really like the farmers' market and getting fresh food and produce. I thought it would be an interesting thing to do as a little side business," Bell shared.

He says business has been good, even with the Belgian soccer team defeating the United States in the World Cup.
