STAUNTON, Va. (WHSV) -- A parent at Robert E. Lee High School reported that a student had made threats on her Facebook page towards other students at school.

The school administration contacted police officers and together they looked into this and addressed it with the student.

The administration searched all property belonging to the student and found no weapons and the student's parents were contacted.

The student has been suspended for 10 days and must go before a disciplinary board before being let back into school.

A petition was obtained on the student this morning and she was charged with making threats by electronic means.
