Students Visit "The Choice Bus"

PAGE COUNTY,Va. (WHSV) -- Page County Middle School students received a reality check Thursday when they took a ride on "The Choice Bus."

It's designed to keep kids from dropping out of school early.

On it, the students heard about the link between dropping out of school and going to jail.

They also learned they would have more career opportunities if they graduate high school and college.

Terry Wiita, the principal at Page County Middle School, hoped the bus would show students that the choices they make now matter.

"I'm just a really strong believer in making sure that students are very well informed early on so that they are always aware of the choices they make now and how they affect them. I want my middle school students to go to high school with every opportunity possible," said Witta

More than 500 students visited the bus today.
