HARRISONBURG, Va.--- According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration speed is a factor in a third of traffic deaths in the U.S. every year.
A NHTSA survey shows half of drivers surveyed said speeding is a problem. However, one in five admit they do it anyway.
Driver Ronald Todd said he does not see a problem with going over the speed limit, if it is not too much.
"I try to stay at the rate of traffic. Sometimes you have to get above and beyond the speed limit to keep the rate of traffic flow. Is it a problem? It could be," said Todd.
Of those surveyed, more men admitted to speeding than women.
