Survivor of Arizona Fire Thanks Community

Prescott, AZ The only survivor of the Granite Mountain hotshots shares his story, only one week after 19 of his fellow brothers died fighting the Yarnell Hill Wildfire.

Many came together to show support for Brendan McDonough. The Diamondbacks and their fans gave a check for $400,000 in memory of the crew he lost. In return though, McDonough thanked the crowd of their support.

Some of those there supporting him knew the other members of the team.

The death of the 19 firefighters is considered one of the deadliest incidents for firefighters since September 11th
