SHENANDOAH COUNTY, Va -- Authorities have captured a suspect wanted in connection with the death of a school superintendent in western New York.
Investigators believe Anthony Robert Taglianetti drove to Clymer Superintendent Keith Reed Jr. western New York home and fatally shot him on the night of Sept. 21 before returning to Virginia.
Reed Jr. was reported missing Sunday evening after missing some engagements. His body was found Monday about 150 feet from his home.
Authorities won't discuss a possible motive but say the killing wasn't related to Reed's job.
Shenandoah County deputies helped U.S. Marshalls find Taglianetti on Woodstock Tower Rd in Fort Valley at about 4 p.m. They believe Taglianetti was camping in George Washington National Forest.
The U.S. Marshals Service announced Friday that deputies on a fugitive task force captured Anthony Robert Taglianetti in the Shenandoah County area of Virginia.
The agency says the deputies' investigation led them to the area, where they spotted Taglianetti's car and pulled him over. They say he's a former Marine.
A man answering a Virginia phone number listed under Taglianetti's name declined to comment.
Taglianetti was taken to Prince William County.
