ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va. (WHSV)-- Crews with the Virginia Department of Transportation will close part of Route 256 in Rockingham County from July 28-30, 2014, so they can repair a railroad crossing.
Route 256 will close at 7 a.m. on Monday, July 28 and reopen about 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30.
Signs will direct drivers on the following detours:
Eastbound Traffic will be detoured onto Aspen Avenue, on Cary Street and on Route 340 back to Route 256.
Traffic going westbound will be directed onto Route 340, then onto Cary Street and on Aspen Avenue to Route 256.
