RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Hampton Roads is getting ready for its close-up.

Gov. Bob McDonnell says a television pilot being developed by CBS Television Studios for the CW network will be filming in the Hampton Roads area in March and April.

The show entitled "Company Town," will be filmed primarily at Fort Monroe in Hampton. It will be directed by Academy Award-winner Taylor Hackford.

If the show moves forward as a series and continues taping in Virginia, officials say it could mean an annual economic impact for the region of up to $50 million.

The project will be eligible for up to $1 million in Virginia Film Tax Credits.
