HARRISONRBURG, Va. -- It's almost time for Taste of Downtown in Harrisonburg.
Next week 25 downtown restaurants will take part in the event, which is the highest participation ever.
There will now be special food tours starting on August 15th with Rocktown Bites.
Nicole Martorana with the Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance said new eateries include Strite's Donuts, Cuban Burger and the Harrisonburg Farmers Market.
The food tour features international cuisine and offers a behind-the-scenes look at restaurants.
Local chefs or the restaurant owners will talk about their food and experiences as part of the tour.
"You can sit down, have a bite to eat, have a drink, and learn from the downtown restaurant owner or the chef even about why they prepare the dishes the way that they do. What's different about their restaurant and why they're offering what they are. So it gives you a little something extra then just going to a restaurant and enjoying the normal experience," said Martorana.
