WAYNESBORO, Va -- The people in charge of PPI/Time Zero in Waynesboro hope to hire 50 new employees by the end of the year.
The company manufactures electronics that are used in medical fields, industrial fields and in homeland security. These are specialized jobs so that means the jobs come with larger salaries.
The company's CEO, Dana Pittman, said they hope to keep expanding.
“Our aerospace defense and medical products have done very well,” Pittman said. “Those customers, I call them sticky in that they stay around. Their products cannot be manufactured offshore, especially the homeland security products. Those products are going to be here a long time, so we hope to be the beneficiary of those services ongoing.”
The company hopes to double the number of its employees by the end of the year. Long-term plans could include up to 400 new positions.
