Teen Caught In Possession of Stolen Letters

AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. -- Police have caught a teen who they think is involved with vandalism in Augusta County. He was tracked down after we reported the vandalism last Friday.

The boy turned himself in for stealing letters off this sign in the Emerald Hills subdivision. He had three of the letters.

The neighborhood has also been plagued with eggings over the last few weeks. Those living here say there's not enough keeping the teens occupied.

"I don't think it was malicious...they're just bored and that's where the community really needs to take an active role in providing activities for our teens," says Kurt Michael, who is the President of the Emerald Hills Home Owner's Association.

Two of the letters are still missing. You're asked to call the Augusta County Sheriff's Office if you can help investigators.
