SHENANDOAH COUNTY-- A 17-year old is facing a terrorism charge after a threat to his school was discovered, according to the Shenandoah County Sheriff's Office.
The student has been arrested. A press release from the Sheriff's Office said he made a threat against Stonewall Jackson High School, where he is a student. The threat was planned to happen in spring 2014.
A school resource officer at the school received information about the threat from law enforcement in Northern Virginia.
The student has been charged with one count of Committing, Conspiring and Aiding and Abetting Acts of Terrorism.
He is currently being held at the Northwestern Regional Juvenile Detention Center. No court date has been set.
