HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) -- Singer Toby Keith is coming under fire for a sign posted at his Virginia restaurant.

The sign reads "No Guns Permitted" at the I Love This Bar & Grill in Woodbridge, Va.

People took to Facebook to voice their objections.

Some called Keith a "liberal idiot" and a "traitor."

While some eateries allow guns, Union Station in Harrisonburg does not.

The restaurant's owner, Cassie Gordon said ABC makes the rules about having guns when serving alcohol, and she agrees with them.

"They're doing that just to protect everyone, and make sure that we have a safe community and a safe establishment. So they're doing their job, and it's our job to make sure we follow the rules, the same way that we would ask people to follow our rules by having no guns in the establishment," said Gordon.
