UPDATE 11:29 a.m.:
Police on the scene of a transformer fire in Harrisonburg say the fire at a substation will affect power to area businesses and possibly the mall. The fire is along Smithland road in Harrisonburg. Crew are still on the scene.

According to Harrisonburg Fire Department, Harrisonburg Electric Cooperative is de-energizing lines due to a transformer fire on Smithland Road.
