UPDATE: Animals Rescued From Waynesboro Home Are In Foster Care

WAYNESBORO, Va -- In early May, 19 dogs, three birds, and a cat that were rescued from a house in Waynesboro after living in filth.

All of the animals have been treated for infections and diseases at the Woodworth Animal Hospital in Waynesboro.

Two of the dogs have had surgery while one of the dogs had a three pound tumor removed from its liver.

So far, two of the dogs are in a animal shelter while the rest have been put in foster care.

"The personalities are coming alive and their not shy and now they're eating and playing ball, and enjoying life and coming back alive again," says Bobbie Sprouse, who is fostering three of the dogs.
