HARRISONBURG,Va. (WHSV)-- A spokesman for Martin's is saying some peaches, nectarines, and plums may be contaminated with listeria.

The press release from Martin's was sent out earlier this morning. It says the recall was done by the Wawona Packing Company, and is primarily affecting fruit through the Orchard Perfect Company.

Here's the information you need to know; the affected fruits include organic nectarines and peaches, as well as orchard perfect nectarines, peaches, white peaches, black plums, and white nectarines.

Customers who purchased these fruits between Jul. 1 and Jul. 21 should throw out the food immediately.

According to the Wawona Packing Company, no injuries or sicknesses have been reported. However, it is important to note that any food contaminated with listeria can end up causing listeriosis.
This disease can sometimes be fatal, and in other cases it can cause things like a severe headache, neck stiffness, and an upset stomach.
