CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) -- The University of Virginia plans to move its medical center's outpatient pharmacy and imaging center to a new $25 million building.
The 30,000-square-foot building will be called the Education Resource Center.
The Daily Progress reports that U.Va. officials presented details of the project to the Board of Visitors on Wednesday.
U.Va. Medical Center CEO R. Edward Howell says the pharmacy will be more accessible at the new location.
Howell also says relocating the imaging center will free up space that's needed for renovation of the hospital's emergency department.
University officials haven't set a date to begin work on the project.
