Unwanted Art Pops Up Around Harrisonburg

HARRISONBURG,Va. (WHSV)-- One business owner came in to work on Aug. 18 to discover the graffitti on the side of her building.

The Gitchell's Photography building was one of the places tagged. Christa Gitchell, the owner of the building, says this kind of thing happens four or five times a year.

The graffiti on the side of the building is already cleaned up, but Gitchell wishes whoever is doing this would stop or at least paint something that is beautiful.

"I don't really get angry anymore. It's kind of a frustration thing that I have to come out here and clean it up when I don't really have time to do it," said Gitchell.

She plans to have security cameras installed soon so they'll know who's tagging the building. More graffiti was found on the side of the Elizabeth Street parking deck as well as over on Grace Street.
