HARRISONBURG, Va.-- A traffic alert to warn you about: VDOT just closed the northbound ramp for exit 247B in Harrisonburg on Monday night.
VDOT says road crews will be doing maintenance underground at this ramp.
This exit leads drivers to Route 33 West, a major road in the city.
Neighbors say they understand that work needs to be done, but this won't be easy for drivers.
"I think it's going to be a major inconvenience for a lot of people that are so used to being able to come and go and get off," said Randy Lowery. "I imagine it's going to be a headache for a lot of people but unfortunately, what can we do?"
Drivers will have to get off the other ramp at exit 247A, then go down Route 33 and eventually make a U-turn to go the other way.
VDOT says the closure should only take place a few nights this week.
