VERONA, Va. - VDOT says they have over 900 pieces of equipment ready to tackle the storm along with contracted plowing companies.
They plan to lay down pre-treatment later tonight... right before the first flakes drop.
Officials there say you shouldn't worry if it takes a while for them to get to your road...
"It's not unusual that some of the back roads and subdivisions may not get plowed until after the snow stops falling , people need to understand that we will get to them as quickly as possible and our hired and contracted crews will get to them as quickly as possible," said VDOT spokesperson Ken Slack.
VDOT also encourages everyone not to get on the roads during tonight's storm, if you don't have to.
