Va. Woman Pleads Guilty in Murder-for-Hire Plot

A Virginia woman has pleaded guilty to trying to hire someone to kill a woman she described as her boyfriend's mistress.

Forty-one-year-old Ann Jenene Cinnamon of Sterling entered the guilty plea Wednesday in federal court in Alexandria. She admitted paying a $100 down payment in October to a man who contacted the FBI when Cinnamon first suggested the plot. She told the man she'd pay another $400 after the woman was killed.

Cinnamon faces up to 10 years in prison when she is sentenced in May.
