Valentine's Day Flower Deliveries Affected by Winter Weather

HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) -- Many people are worried this winter storm could affect flower deliveries this Valentines Day.

Managers at the Wishing Well, a local florist shop, said they are going to extreme methods to make sure deliveries are made. This year in particular, many customers have been calling to schedule their deliveries ahead of the storm.

Terrie Dean, the owner of the Wishing Well, said this year, time worked in their favor.

With Monday being a holiday and Friday being Valentine's Day, the orders were more spread out than usual, instead of being slammed all on one day.

"It's cupid versus mother nature and I've read the book, cupid wins! So, we are doing everything we can primitively do to allow our customers the max opportunity to be able to get their orders in to their loved ones," said Dean.
